Vinyl Transfers
Why use vinyl transfers?
Vibrant one-colour logos, with an unparalleled range of special effects (metallic, glitters, flocking etc), vinyl transfers are our most popular print method for simple, high-impact designs. With no minimum order, clean edge definition and a smooth, matte finish, our Cad cut vinyl transfers are the perfect option for text and simple bold logos. With the ability to adhere to nearly any fabric, heat press vinyl transfers are an exceptionally versatile and durable print method, with an almost unlimited scope for customisation.
Pro’s:
(+) Bold, clean lines reproduce incredibly well via this print method. Text as small as 4mm in height is possible.
(+) No minimum order and low setup costs.
(+) Specialty vinyl medias available (for 1 unit +): Gloss metallic (mirror finish),safety reflective media, flocking, fluoro, glitter vinyl, sub blocker and more!
(+) This decoration method reproduces well on textured fabrics such as pique-knit polo shirts, and is suitable for nearly all fabric compositions (cotton, poly cotton, etc)
(+) Rapid turnarounds available for small orders.
(+) Hard-wearing and durable results.
(+) Transfers can be turned around exceptionally quickly for small orders.
(+) This decoration method can be applied to specialty products such as caps & visors can be printed in unique positions that other print methods cannot reach.
(+) Repeat orders (of the same design) do not incur setup fees. Once your artwork has been set up, we'll keep it on file indefinitely.
(+) BYO Garments or Mabuzi-supplied garments are both welcome for this print method.
Con’s:
(-) This print method is not as cost-effective for larger orders as the print process is more labour intensive than screen printing and other automated print methods.
(-) Due to the CAD-cutting process, transfers are not suitable for artworks with rough or "grunge" outlines, as our cutter/plotter requires relatively smooth lines to be able to achieve idea print results.
(-) Print colours are limited to our stock vinyl options. Exact colours cannot be matched, as our media stock & availability is limited to the list above.
(-) Some artwork may not be suitable for this print method as the required cutline creation is heavily dependent on the quality of the supplied artwork. Mabuzi reserve the right to refuse unsuitable artwork.
(-) This print method is best suited to artwork with smooth edges. Fine text and small details will require a bleed or bubble to make them possible & may not look ideal.
(-) Artwork approvals are only provided for orders over 15 units.

Garments for Printing:
Mabuzi offer printing onto a large range of items for varying budgets, which can be found in our online catalogue. All items with "vinyl transfer" listed as an option in the decoration field are available for this method.
Mabuzi also welcomes you to print in your BYO garments for all transfer print methods.
How it works:
Our production team carefully work on your artwork; ensuring a clean vector cutline exists and can be read as the CAD plot line for our Roland cutter/plotter.
Your choice of vinyl colour is then loaded into the machine, our team hit go & your artwork precisely scored by our computer cut file and then weeded (by hand) by our production team.
The term "weeding" refers to the process of removing the scored-out excess "white space" in your transfer, by peeling away any details that are not required, such as the insides of letters and the background of the transfer.
Once the transfer has been cut and weeded, it is then applied with an industrial heat-press to permanently affix the transfer to your garment.
