Mabuzi vinyl transfers are cut, and the negative space removed.

Why use vinyl transfers?

Vibrant one colour logos, with an unparalleled range of special effects (metallic, glitters, flocking etc), vinyl transfers are our most popular print method for simple, high-impact designs. With no minimum order, clean edge definition and a smooth, matte finish, our CAD cut vinyl transfers are the perfect option for text and simple bold logos. With the ability to adhere to nearly any fabric, heat press vinyl transfers are an exceptionally versatile and durable print method, with an almost unlimited scope for customisation.

Bold, clean lines print extremely well.

Due to the CAD cutting process, vinyl transfers are not suitable for designs with rough or "grungy" lines.

Specialty vinyl media covers a wide range of print effects, including: gloss, metallic, glitter, reflective, flocking, fluoro and sublock.

Colour choices are limited to our vinyl stock. Often, precise colour matches are not possible for this reason.

Extremely quick turnaround on small quantity orders, with minimal set-up costs.

Labour intensive process reduces its cost effectiveness for large quantity orders when compared to, for example, screen printing.

Produces quality results on nearly all fabric compositions, such as pique-knit polos, and poly/cotton blends.

Artwork must be supplied in or converted to a vector format before cutting can take place.

Repeat orders of the same design do not incur set-up fees. Once you place an order with us, we will keep your artwork on file indefinitely.

Artwork approvals are only provided for orders of 15 units and over.

Vinyl transfers are hard-wearing and durable.

Can be pressed onto both Mabuzi stock and BYO garments.

Can be pressed in unusual areas where other methods cannot reach (such as onto a cap or visor).

Garments for printing:

Mabuzi offer printing onto a large range of items for varying budgets, which can be found in our online catalogue. All items with "vinyl transfer" listed as an option in the decoration field are available for this method.

Mabuzi also welcomes BYO garments for all transfer print methods!

How it works:

1) Our design team carefully works on your artwork to ensure a clean vector cutline exists and can be read by our Roland plotter and cutter.

2) Your choice of vinyl colour is then loaded into the machine, our team hit go and your artwork is precisely scored by our computer.

3) Your artwork is then hand-weeded by our production team and prepared for pressing.

The term "weeding" refers to the process of removing the negative space from your artwork by peeling away the transfer that is not required, such as the insides of letters.

4) Once the transfer has been cut and weeded, it is then applied with an industrial heat press to permanently affix the transfer to your garment.
