Embroidery
Why choose embroidery?
A popular choice for uniforms and clubs, embroidery offers high-end finish for simple logo designs. Well suited to textured fabrics (eg. pique knit polo shirts), embroidery creates a hard-wearing, professional-looking representation of most logos. Priced by the number of stitches (size and density of artwork), multiple colours can be included in the logo without adding to the cost. Embroidery remains one of the most popular choices for polo decoration, club, society and business uniforms.
Pro’s:
(+) Embroidery offers fantastic value for small logos of multiple colours.
(+) This decoration method reproduces well on textured fabrics such as pique-knit polo shirts, and is suitable for nearly all fabric compositions (cotton, poly cotton, etc)
(+) This decoration method is more environmentally friendly than other chemical-dependent print methods.
(+) Lettering as small as 4mm in height can be achieved.
(+) Large volumes and fast turnarounds are possible.
(+) This decoration method is suitable for curved surfaces such as caps & visors.
(+) Repeat orders (of the same design) do not incur setup fees. Once your artwork has been set up, we'll keep it on file indefinitely.
Con’s:
(-) The minimum order quantity for this print method is 15 units.
(-) This print method is not suitable for photographic print artwork.
(-) Logos larger than 15cm wide are not particularly cost-effective.
(-) Some artwork may not be suitable for embroidery as decoration results are heavily dependent on the quality of the supplied artwork. Mabuzi reserve the right to refuse unsuitable artwork.
(-) Mabuzi cannot embroider BYO garments.
(-) 3D effects and gradients do not reproduce well when embroidered.
Embroidery is Ideal for:
Teamwear & Merchandise
A popular choice for sporting clubs, not-for-profits and societies; embroidery allows a professional high-end look for the right price. Tried and tested by the best, you'll see our gear on all walks of life; from the drag racers over at Gas Motorsport, to the skating demolition girls at the Sydney Roller Derby League, & the exceptionally well-dressed GOLD Dragon Boat Racers.
Events & Promotion
Adding an extra dimension to your next promotion, embroidery is the perfect choice for more subtle branding - just ask our friends over at Optus, Gatorade and Disney.
Uniforms
With a high-quality finish and professional appearance, embroidery is a popular choice for large and small businesses alike. We've offered this service to some well-known crews in recent times; Qantas, Crust Pizza, Philippine Airlines & Franck Provost.
Garments for Embroidery:
Mabuzi offer printing onto a large range of items for varying budgets, which can be found in our online catalogue. All items with "embroidery" listed as an option in the decoration field are available for this method.
Note: Mabuzi does not embroider BYO garments. If you have BYO garments that require printing, please see our digital transfers and vinyl transfers pages.
How it works:
Logos are converted to a digitised file with embroidery software which is input into a computerised embroidery machine.
The different colours and types of thread are then "sown" through the garment using a multi head machine with a cloth backing.
