With a location each year, the National Play Festival provides an incredible glimpse into the world of Australia's theatrical underworld. With an outstanding array of both established and up-and-coming writers, the festival provides an unique opportunity for Australia's finest playwrights to develop, explore & bring their words to life in front of a national & international audience of theatre companies, theatre enthusiasts & producers.
This year, Mabuzi have had incredible opportunity to support Australia's theatre elite & supply merchandise for the event.
After a much needed break the Mabuzi team are back in the swing of things, relatively fresh and revived from the feastive holiday season. Our normal trading hours and lead times apply.
Mabuzi is now closed from 25th December - 8th January and will re-open at 9.00am on the 9th of January, to resume our regular Monday to Saturday trading hours.
Please read this post for more information regarding our trading hours and our order cut-off dates for Christmas 2011.
Mabuzi now offers an all-new "Express Service” ordering option. Simply add this product to your cart (whilst in the T-Shirt Lab) to fast-track that urgent birthday gift, leaving present or “Sorry I forgot our 10 year anniversary” apology t-shirt! Same Day/24 hr turnarounds possible.
Having spent the weekend in Southern NSW at the Burning Man Australia festival, “Burning Seed”, the Mabuzi crew have now reappeared in the store, looking moderately more tanned and 50% more bohemian than their prior Thursday counterparts. With a portable T-shirt studio (read: tent) as their weekend headquarters, the team ran a fantastic ongoing workshop over the daylight hours of all 4 days they were in attendance at the festival; providing the 300-odd punters with free (Mabuzi-funded) tees as blank canvases for spontaneous creativity (and anger management, for those ending up with a pile of shredded cotton after their “modifications”).
This weekend will see the Mabuzi van hit the road for the Australian Burning Man festival, "Burning Seed", held in Narrandera (southern NSW). Held annually in the Nevada desert, the original US Burning Man Festival begins as a temporary self-sustaining city; built entirely from its participants. With no entertainment, housing or food provided, all aspects of the festival are created by the participants as the festival progresses. Quite literally building a community from the contents of several kombi vans, an isolated patch of dusty desert land & a population of artisans & survivalists (...and the occasional hipster!), Burning Man festival is a festival like no other.
Our team will be joining the fun with 288 free Burning Seed t-shirts, all repurposed from our excess stock and designed & printed at Mabuzi’s expense - ready and raring for scissors, stitching, and creative manipulation by the Burning Man community!
For the first time in history, Australia's toughest female skaters will be taking on the world at the Roller Derby World Cup. With Sydney's own hero, Haterade, joining ranks with Australia's best for an all-wheel brawl in Canada this December, this year's event looks set to be a knock-out.
Sporting an impressive selection of T-shirts, polo shirts, business shirts, sportswear, outerwear, headwear and more, Mabuzi’s very own Online Product Catalogue has finally gone live!
